Barings and The YARDS Welcome Techtronic Industries to their New State-of-the-Art facility

This week we celebrated the grand opening of Techtronic Industries’ (TTI) a new 74,056 sqm facility at The YARDS in Kemps Creek, NSW. The event was attended by Stephen O’Connor Development Director Barings, Ian Barter Managing Director Fraser Property Industrial, Grant Edhouse, CFO and COO  TTI,  Greg Borland Managing Director – Consumer Group TTI and honoured with a Smoking Ceremony by Uncle Graham Davis King from the Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council.

TTI’s new building is not only among the largest warehouses in New South Wales but has also been meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of its customers. A JV between Frasers Property Industrial and Aware Real Estate, and developed in partnership with Barings Real Estate Australia. It signifies a leap towards sustainable development, aiming for a 6 Star Green Star Design & As-built V1.3 rating. This ambition is brought to life through its eco-friendly features, including a 500kW rooftop solar installation, rainwater capture for reuse, and energy-efficient smart lighting, setting a new benchmark for industrial spaces.

As the first building completed on this premium estate, TTI’s facility embodies our commitment to innovation and sustainability. It features state-of-the-art logistics, including an automated mini-shuttle system, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking, and comprehensive truck access. The building also prioritizes environmental responsibility with vertical green walls, water-saving fixtures, and extensive solar power generation.
